As a student I am well prepared, but in the Embassy of Brands way you can't really prepare yourself. You have to let it happen to you. Remco didn't just talk to me, no the whole team was there. That open atmosphere, energy and enthusiasm was exactly what I was looking for. That's why I immediately felt welcome and part of something special.

On my first day, everyone was busy with NextSEO. They made a very sleek website for it. One thing that still had to be looked at were the icons. So I looked for that together with Remco. Remco explained to me which websites they use at the Embassy for inspiration. At the end of the week, I also started working on making some icons in Illustrator, just to get into the same flow.
Nowadays everything is done with figma, so as an apprentice I can't stay behind. So today I made screenshots of my personal Pinterest and I started to recreate them in figma via tutorials, there is even functionality in it. Not only have I become a lot more familiar with figma, I also had a lot of fun with it and that is what the Embassy gives me a feeling. Do what is necessary but do it with a good feeling!
For the website of Dolmans Landscaping there was a need for a timeline where the application steps were easy to follow. They had given some inspiration from competitors, and from there I designed this. Of course I made sure that it completely fit the Dolmans style.
Polyfluor wants to make a presentation video to show everyone what has been done by the Embassy, from the website to the socials and datasheets to the email signatures. So I started making a storyboard for that, and I searched for animations that go with it.
I got the assignment from Remco to make an image for Frisdrank.com, it will be used for the social media platforms. I had already made one with lemons and the original Lipton Iced Tea, but that was not the taste they had to have. Quickly got to work in Midjourney and then in photoshop to create this image.
At Embasssy we use a presentation tool for our customers, with which we can easily, clearly and inspiringly show what kind of expressions we can make. But that tool now had to be filled for QRS. So I got to work on that. Finding nice mockups, collecting the right information and putting it together. And finally shooting out the mockups and filling them on the website.
Remco asked me to create five personas for Netpro & KPI Solutions (who are organizing an event together) for the presentation tool. So I did some research, used Chatgpt, and Shutterstock for the images. I'm very happy with the result.
I've been working hard on a series of creative ideas to reach new customers.
The idea is to surprise people so they stick with you. You want them to remember you. Because that's exactly what we do for their customers as well, whenever we at Embassy work on their brand.
Can I be proud of myself for a moment? Yes, of course. At the Embassy, we celebrate our successes whenever possible, and I just wanted to share this moment.
Scroll up a bit and you'll see how I created this image and now it's right there on the LinkedIn page! How cool is that?
